THE PRACTICE. THE PERSPECTIVE.
About the collective.
YONECO Cultural Troupe is a Malawian ensemble working through traditional dance, song and theatre. Its performances connect cultural heritage with community dialogue, using rhythm and storytelling to bring people together. At Hurungwe Arts Festival in 2026, the troupe shared Malawian dance traditions including chisamba, madole, kandiyandiya and lichelo, alongside a storytelling dance about peace and unity.
